Praying for the living and the dead

"I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us, and we change things." - Saint Mother Teresa.

As the conclusion to these seven spiritual works of mercy, we present pray for the living and the dead as the synthesis of the earlier works, since prayer is a gift of God in his relationship with man. “Whether we realize it or not, prayer is the encounter of God’s thirst with ours. God thirsts that we may thirst for him”[1].

In short, “Christian prayer is a covenant relationship between God and man in Christ” [2]and therefor sustains all the works of mercy.

Following the footsteps of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the foundation strongly believes to, “Pray as if everything depends on God and work as if everything depends on you” [3].

While the foundation will constantly seek to encounter God through prayer, it is not necessary that the concrete fulfillment of all that we ask for, but that through a “specific” request our Christian intercessory prayer will place every petition within the broader context of Christ’s central invocation in the Lord’s Prayer, “They will be done, On earth as it is in heaven” (Mt 6:10), dramatically repeated by Jesus himself in Gethsemane with an expressive “your will be done” (Mt 26:42).

The BOL Foundation is committed to praying for the intentions and petitions of all its supporters and people of goodwill. We really value the role of community prayer for the living & the dead as our core objective. Therefore, every Saturday, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM our team of prayer warriors meets to pray the rosary for various petitions at St. John Church, Bhingar, Ahmednagar. If you want us to pray for your intentions, please submit below form. We will use the below information to read your prayer request during our weekly prayer.
